Finally...........some cards!!!!

Hi all,wow another long time between posts and as much as I love to craft,I have realised that there are more important things in life...........and that would be my family. So crafting is not something I get to do often at the moment, but when I do I really enjoy it.Anyway a friend asked if I could make her some cards and these are the first of them and I was hoping that I would remember how to colour.....lol......I love how they turned out, considering it has been a while since I have made a card,so I am looking forward to making the other two.
Well best be off,I have my youngest home sick and I am hoping that I may be able to make the other two cards while she has a sleep.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Party,a cake,some face painting and a card...............

Hi all,I am still here,I thought I should take a little time to let you all know what has been happening. We have had parties and nights out to attend, lots of school activities, personal matters to attend to and the usual house cleaning etc.My little miss is also off school at the moment,I had to pick her up Monday afternoon after she vomited in the classroom and it got worse.By the evening she just could not stop vomiting, even though she hadn't had anything to eat, and had had very little to drink. She finally stopped vomiting on Tuesday night at around 6pm,that was the last one.She still has not eaten and it has now been 2.5 days, though I think she is ready to eat something little for dinner, but I may keep her home tomorrow as well..............as she is still weak from being sick.

Well at least she got to enjoy her birthday party before she got sick, which is what all the photos above are about. This was also what kept me busy,I made the cake(yes the castle cake)I was so happy with how it turned out and everyone at the party loved it.It took me about 3 days,I started by making a mud cake with a recipe from a cookbook called Family Circle Making Beautiful Cakes.I covered the 2 layers with white fondant icing, then I used skewers to attach the smaller cake to the top of the larger one.All of the turrets, doors and windows are plastic...............you purchase them as a set and it is called Wilton Castle Cake Set.The turret points have been covered in yellow fondant icing and the turrets are glued down with white fondant.I piped around the door and windows and handmade all of the yellow flowers and I purchased the pink flowers.I tinted some royal icing green and used that for the grass, which also helped to keep the turrets in place and then I just popped all of the flowers on.Finally I used royal icing for a path and bordered that with flowers and then used a Princess Belle doll that I purchased at Toys R Us.I also made all of the cupcakes and had all sorts of other party food.To entertain the kids we had a beautiful Disney Princess jumping castle and a fantastic face painter, which the adults also enjoyed.Last of all the birthday card,my little miss loves Belle and loves yellow,so that became the theme for the card and party.I had no time for colouring an image so I found an image that I liked printed it and then cut it out............what a time saver and what's more, the card was a hit.

A large post from me,I had to make up for being away.....lol.....I do have some other cards to show, but I think I will leave that for another day, when my youngest is better.Thankyou all for hanging around, I will catch up with you early next week when little miss is better and after my husbands birthday.

Kitty Lane Clown Card................

Hi all, another post in such a short time......yeah for me,though it means I am not cleaning the house....lol.....As I said in my last post I am making four cards for a lovely lady named Fay who has her own line of stamps called Kitty Lane. This is the first of the four cards and what a fab image, this clown reminds me of the really old fashioned clowns from the 20's.So, I decided not to put too much colour on him and try to make a girly card, and I must say I am really pleased with the result.

Challenges being entered:
Off to collect my girls from school shortly, so will catch up with you all later.

Bizzy Becs Challenge - "Girls and Pearls"

Hi all,it's been a week since I have blogged,I just don't have the time at the moment.I have had requests for cards and jewellery, and a last minute decision to visit my husbands Aunty for the long weekend and we had no internet. My craft room is so messy at the moment, with now adding all of my goodies for jellewery making,I will need pull everything out and resort it all............so not looking forward to that.

I have now deleted all of the digi images in the Fundraising for Lyndall digi store  and have drawn the winners, they are posted in the digi section of the store.

Anyway best get onto my card,it is for Bizzy Becs new challenge and this month the theme is "Girls and Pearls", Bec wants to see you create something Girly and add pearls to it.My card was made for a friend who wanted a picture of a couple of girls on the card, the card was for her sister's 60th birthday,so I suggested she use a photo of her with her sister's.This is the photo she gave me,it was a bit blurry, but I worked with it, I made it black and white and also added the negative frame.Well I was told today her sister absolutely loved it,the card brought her to tears,it is a wonderful feeling knowing that someone loves what you have created.I hope you join us on this challenge and don't forget to check out the other GORGEOUS DT creations.

Lyndall Fundraiser and a Card

Hi all, well another week gone and I am still busy.I have started to receive cards for Lyndall, thankyou so much.We have also had donations of digi images to sell, and these are available in an online store we have set up,here is the link so please pop over and have a look. The above card I saw on a blog that I recently found, Linda's works of Heart, her creations are stunning and when I saw this card I just had to make it.The only problem,I didn't have the Spellbinder Sunflower, what's a girl to do, so I purchased it.....lol......I didn't have a very pale green cardstock, this was the lightest I had so I went with that,I love this card and plan on making more in different colours.I will also be adding this card to Lyndall's Fundraising store, I may also add some in other colours if I get a chance to make them.

Please visit our online store and help Lyndall,if you can.Below are some fabulous images you can purchase, with lots more available in store. We are still uploading images,so don't forget to pop back later and have another look.

My apologies, for not being around to blog or comment as much lately, fundraising has taken up alot of my spare time........which of course I am so very happy to do.Setting up the online store has also taken quite alot of hours,we still have some things to upload, but we are so happy with the way it looks, and it is worth it to help someone out.I will try to stop by when I can, things should get back to normal by the middle of September. Thanks for stopping by.

A Birthday Card........and no coloured image to be seen!!

Hi all,I hope you are enjoying your weekend.I watched the movie Burlesque for the first time today and WOW I loved it,Christina Aguilera's voice is totally amazing,it was fantastic listening to her throughout the movie.Anyway, onto my card,I was asked by a dear friend to make her mother a birthday card. Now, her mother is in her 80's,so I thought a vintage card might be something she would like.I used some gorgeous Pink Paislee papers, heart nestability dies and various embellishments.I did enjoy making something different for a change and I hope her mum likes it.Well off to bed,its getting late, catch you all later.

This card is being entered into the UnstampaBelles Challenge - Celebration

I have not entered a challenge in quite some time so I have found some challenges that I can enter this card to and they are -

      Butterfly Sweethearts - Poppy

Hi all,I'm back with another Butterfly Sweetheart and her name is Poppy. These images are gorgeous and perfect for girl cards, they are also wonderful to colour.I had a little trouble with this one,I just wasn't in the cardmaking mood and it took me a few days to put together.......I just couldn't make up my mind on papers and a LO.After a few days of fussing over this card,I am pretty happy with the end result. The leaf punch and flowers are available at Bizzy Becs, the large white flower I made with a punch,if any of you are interested in making this flower let me know and I will try and get a tutorial done. The butterflies have been punched out of cardstock and the second layer out of vellum,I have also added stickles to the vellum for a bit of sparkle.Well best be off,I will catch up with you all tomorrow.....thanks for stopping by.
