Bizzy Becs April Challenge

Good morning all,it's time for another Bizzy Becs challenge and this months challenge is to create your own designer paper.I had to think about this one, and remembered I had cased a card a few years back that had used multiple stamps to create a beautiful vintage background.So the DP on this card was created using two large background stamps.The images are Whiff of Joy and have been masked to join them together,Bec does stock Whiff of Joy images,but does not have these ones.So if you would like them,just email Bec and she will see what she can do.The flowers,nestabilities and stickles are also available at Bizzy Becs,again email Bec if they are not in stock.

Creatalicious Challenge #16

Hi all,I can't believe we are already up to challenge number 16 and we are also so close to Christmas.I have been busy the last few weeks and the days just seem to disappear before my eyes....lol....Well,I made my challenge card with a few days to spare.I needed a wedding card,so decided that this was also going to be my challenge card as well.I am so glad I did, as this sketch of Bec's was fabulous to work with and I am really happy with the end result.The gorgeous lace,flowers,embossing folder,Whiff of Joy images and circle nestabilities can all be found at Bizzy Becs.

For the New Mr and Mrs

Good afternoon,yes I did finally make a card, as I mentioned in my last post I will be attending a wedding tomorrow and needed to have a card.My hubby told me to buy one,but that would not do for me so I sat down last night and finished this card.I did enjoy making this and am so glad I do not have to take a purchased card to the wedding.I am not really happy with the colouring of the grooms suit,my two middle grey markers ran out half way through colouring and a little panic set in....lol....so I had to use the black, darkest grey and the lightest grey.I am used to using 3 to 4 shades in these colours,as I don't like the black clothes to be completely black.Well at least I have a card and if thats the only thing I am not happy with,all is good.All the gorgeous flowers,Whiff of Joy stamps,craft concepts embossing folder and pearl pin were purchased at Bizzy Becs.....must say I love those gorgeous pins,I will have to get more of them.The brides veil is also covered in stardust stickles,but it is a bit hard to see.I have used the beautiful Kaisercraft To Have and To Hold DP in the background,I did love these papers so purchased quite a few and am so glad I did.I am still a little tired,so I decided to use the Friday Sketchers sketch this week,it made making my card so much easier and I did love the sketch.Though I was too late to enter the challenge.....never mind.BTW yes I have changed my blog background again.....lol.....I thought if I put a christmas one up it might give me a kick up the behind to get my chrissy cards done.Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments,enjoy your weekend.

CLP Challenge #28

Good evening,this is the last of the baby cards I made for my friend, and yet again I took the easy option and used a sketch.I am entering this card into the CLP Challenge #28,I just love Chelsea's sketches.......she puts so much detail into them.The purple DP is a digi paper from Cuddly Buddly,I purchased this a while ago,when I saw it on someone elses blog.........and I am so happy I will never run out of it.....lol....The lace and gorgeous rose are available at Bizzy Becs,just love that Bec has many different coloured flowers.......I always have something that matches my cards.Well have alot to do,another busy day for me tomorrow.......Enjoy your day.

Whiff of Joy Baby Card

Whiff of Joy Baby Card

Good morning all,it has been a few days since I have done any blogging.A dear friend of mine and her hubby are on holidays and stayed last night.I spent the last few days getting ready for their visit,everytime she visits she likes to go through my card collection and take her favourites and of course she always pays me.............well she nearly cleaned me out.........lol........I also had to make her three welcome baby cards and the third one she only told me about 2 - 3 days ago.When she arrived I told her I had completed two cards and the third I was going to finish last night while she was here,she was going out to visit a few friends last night and forgot to tell me she needed it then.So with about an hour and a half to spare,I made this card and lucky for me I had already coloured the image.Now on top of that she has also asked me to scrap her wedding photos into an 8x8 album,she is lucky I just love her to bits.....lol......hmmmmm I really need to try and get this scrapbooking started.Well best go,I have another two cards to make for my friend,she asked for them before she left this morning...........and I need to get them posted to her sister and she will pick them up there while she is visiting.Will be doing some blog hopping this evening,enjoy your day.

Whiff of Joy Wedding

Hello all,thanks so much for all your kind words,I am still a little sick but alot better than I was and of course it had to be very cold today.Well todays card is one I made for a very close friend,she gets married in one week from tomorrow and her colours are pink and brown.I was a bit worried I wouldn't get this card done as I have had so many card requests over the last 2 weeks as well as DT cards to do, and being sick didn't help.You know my husbands answer to this"just buy her a card".....lol....he knows she loves my handmade cards and that she would be so annoyed if she didn't get one.......he thought it would be funny.Oh what would we do without them....lol....Any way I am really pleased with how it turned out,it is hard to see but the veil and flowers are covered in stickles.The beige DP has glitter on it and the pink cardstock is embossed.All the gorgeous embellishments on this card are available from Bizzy Becs.Well must get to more blog hopping,enjoy your weekend and school holidays to those that have them.

The Last Baby Shower Card

Hello everyone,I am still here.I am sick AGAIN and so are my girls. I am so annoyed about that,school holidays are in two weeks and we are planning to take the girls out quite a bit,so we need to get better.Our internet security ran out a few days ago and we only managed to get another one this morning,so now I can post and do my blog hopping.I woke up the other morning with a horrible cramp in my leg and OMG did it hurt.....lol.....sounds funny now,but wasn't at the time.I am also quite tired at the moment and you know this is so when you almost put salt in your cup of tea.....lol.....lucky I noticed in time or I might have been sick.Anyway,no rest for the wicked,I still have DT cards and cards for other people to be done,so I will still be posting.

This is the last of the baby shower cards I had to show you,I used a spellbinder die to make the frame for the image which is available at Bizzy Becs, the flowers and pearls also come from Bizzy Becs.And again,I have used stickles on the edges of the cardstock.The stamps are Whiff of Joy,I have masked pregnant Willow,so she appears to be sitting on the swing.Bizzy Becs does stock Whiff of Joy images,if Bec doesn't have these ones and you want them,just send her an email and she will do what she can to get them in.Well must get to some blog hopping,thanks for stopping by.

Friday Sketchers #71

Yeahhhh,I managed to do a challenge,this is Friday Sketchers challenge #71......I loved the sketch and decided to play along.I purchased this Whiff of Joy image last year,but a little bit too late for Christmas,so this is the first time I have inked it......shame on me for waiting so long.I always manage to choose the wrong shaped images for my challenges......lol.....and have to fit them into the sketch,as I have done with this one.The flowers in the top left corner and the sentiment have been added as an extra,glossy accents have been added to the boots, and I have also added puff paint and star dust stickles to the clothes.I also managed to take a photo outside and it looks much clearer,so I will have to try and do this for all of my creations.Happy crafting and have a great day.

Whiff of Joy Wedding

Good afternoon all,I hope you are getting some crafting in.I had to make another Wedding card for my friend who arrives here on Monday,as someone wanted the other that I made.......well this one is hers now as I don't think I will have time to make another.I wanted to use the same image(I love this one),but make a completely different card.This card is 11cm x 20cm,roughly DL size,I wanted to use my new Spellbinders Classic Frame and thought it would look better on this shape card.As you can see the frame is quite large and is also going to be perfect for some of my scrapbooking photos.The brides veil has been covered in dazzling diamonds and look so pretty IRL,and I love the embossing it adds so much texture to a card.Well,I wasn't chosen to be in the WOJ guest DT,but not to worry.......I am still enjoying making my cards and I am too old to be getting upset about these things......lol......Well must go and try and catch up on some blog hopping,if I don't get to you I eventually will,as my computer keeps freezing on me.Thanks for stopping by.

For a Baby Shower

Good afternoon,this is the baby shower card I was talking about in my last post,I finished it last night but didn't get a chance to post it.This image of pregnant Willow was perfect for my card,I didn't want to do the usual cute card......so I decided on a vintage look.I also wanted to do something different with the bow..........so I have attached it sideways,added a button and a tag tied on with cooking twine.The Spellbinders frame has been embossed and has also had the smallest Kaiserkraft pearls placed around the border.I really love how this card turned out and I am sure my friend will love it.The photo isn't the best,I had to take it without a flash and photoshop it so you could see the embossing and pearls.I have also decided to enter this into the Whiff of Joy Guest DT challenge,as I did read you can enter as many times as you like.You still have time to enter it doesn't finish until 19th September. Wedding Congratulations

Hi all,I hope you have all been well and up to a lot of crafting over the weekend.My dear friend called me on Friday and said she was going to come to Sydney and stay at my place for a night in about three weeks,I can't wait to catch up with her.Anyway,she asked if I could make a Wedding card, for the Wedding she is going too while here.So I put aside the bulk cards I need to do,yet again.....lol.....and did this over the weekend for her,at least I know it is now done and I don't have to rush it at the last minute,I hope she likes it.

The idea of the image being in a photo came from Camilla and I thought it was fantastic and wanted to have a go myself.There is so much sparkle in this card,it's a shame you can't see it all in the photo.The background paper has sparkle on some of the words and I have added Diamond Stickles to the two outside flowers and the pine leaves,so pretty IRL.I have also added flowersoft to the carriage.I thought I might as well enter it in the Guest Design Team call at Whiff of Joy as well,the DT call ends September 19th,so you still have time to sumbit an entry.I am in the process of another Whiff of Joy card for my friend that is having the baby shower,and am designing her invites at the moment as well and thought I'd better not forget her card.......so I am doing it now.Well that's the longest post in a while,thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Good evening my blogging friends,I have finally had the time to do a Whiff of Joy baby Congratulations card,I really love these images and was so happy when they came out.I had been looking for images to do Wedding and Baby cards but just couldn't seem to find anything I liked,now I have them I just have to get around to making cards.My stash of cards doesn't have many baby or Wedding cards so I will be making a few of these in the next few weeks to build up my stash.A dear schoolfriend of mine is pregnant so I will have to make plenty of baby cards,because no doubt the girls will be wanting me to make the cards for them.......hey Kel.....lol.....I have used Willow with baby for this one also my new Martha Stewart Heart punch.....WOOHOO.....love this punch.The image and sentiment have been popped up with 3d squares,I must say I love the wider ribbon and I don't normally use it........looks like my next purchase is going to be a quite a few colours of the wide ribbon.These Wiff of Joy images are available at Bizzy Becs,though some may be sold out.Thanks for stopping by.

Whiff of Joy Confirmation Card

Hello everyone,I hope you are all well,today's card is a Communion/Confirmation card.A friend of my husband requested this card.I have not made one of these cards before and I knew I had to use the Whiff of Joy Confirmand Melinda,the only problem was I didn't have the image and had to order it quickly as the card was needed ASAP.I was really happy when I received the image and started on the card straight away.I also ordered Confirmand Matthew just in case, and both images are just beautiful.This card had to be pink and pretty for a girl,I also wanted to give it a vintage feel.I am really pleased with how it turned out and I hope they like it,Glossy Accents were also added to the wings but it is hard to see and the sentiment was printed on the computer.The spotted pink ribbon and pearls are from Danielles blog candy that I won,thanks Danielle they are beautiful and I am slowly getting to use all of your wonderful gifts.The picture of the buttons you see were from a lovely friend Karen,thanks so much Karen.They were in the letterbox yesterday, and at first I thought gee thats a big gift to be giving away in a letterbox drop.....lol......Until I noticed the Stampin'Up! for you stamp on it, and just knew it was Karen ,you sneaky lady.I have used some of these buttons on the card,they are so beautiful and as you can see come with heart and flower shaped buttons.Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening.

Hi everyone,todays card was requested by a friend,they had seen the card I made with the Creative Inspirations sketch here and wanted four of them.They loved the images and design,so what I have done is used the same design and flipped the sketch back the right way, used images from the same stamp set and used different papers.This way they get pretty much the same card,but they are all going to be a little different and I get to feel like I am being very creative.....lol......I love how this turned out and much of the hard work was done for me,I just have to make two more.Thanks for stopping by.
