A Card For Rio
Hello everyone,I am back with the card I made for Rio.It is Rio's birthday on the 8th February and she has decided that she wants all her birthday money to go to sick children, you can read the post here. Now Rio's mum Betty from Simply Betty Stamps has also designed a digi for her and all the proceeds from this digi will also go to the sick children. All Betty is asking if we could please make a card for Rio and make her birthday special, well I was so happy to do so.I think this little lady has taught us all that it doesn't matter how much you give, it is the thought that counts and every little bit does help.I loved the digi papers I used for my daughters card,so I used them again but in the pink and green and WOW it is bright.I don't normally like bright colours, but I just had to use them with this image and I really do love how it turned out.The papers are a digi freebie and you can get them here.So if you can, please join in and help those in need.Well it's very late here,I need to get to bed, will catch up with you in the morning. Thanks for stopping by.

A Teenage Birthday
Hi all,I finally got some time to make my daughters birthday card.I was blog hopping a few days ago and found this image from Simply Betty Stamps, the short version of the story is Betty's daughter wanted to give all she gets for her birthday to charity. You can purchase this image from here and all the proceeds from this image and her daughters birthday money will go to charity.Betty is also asking if you could please help to make her daughters birthday special by making a card and sending it to her, well I think that is the least I could do, as she has given so much more. You can read Betty's story here.I had to do my daughters card first she is also turning 13 in a few days, but I will be doing a card for Rio tonight and I will post it when I have finished. The papers, skull and lock are part of a free digi pack you can get here at Skyscraps, she has FANTASTIC digi packs. The gorgeous flowers are from Bizzy Becs.
Now,while I was posting I wanted to share this FANTASTIC blog candy I won off my teamie at Bizzy Becs.I was doing my rounds of commenting and left a comment on Paola's blog and had absolutely no idea I was in the running for some candy......lol.....Paola left me a message to say I had won something and I was so excited, well this is what arrived the other day and I just LOVE IT ALL and what a sweet little card.Thankyou so much Paola,I have already used some of the rhinestones on the card above and I am so looking forward to using some of the crystals too.Well off to excercise, will be back this evening after I start Rio's card.Enjoy your weekend.

Another Birthday Card
Hi all,I am back........but I think I am sinking rather than swimming.I am still in the process of doing my nephews scrapbooking album........which by the way has not really progressed and a dear friend has also asked me to do her a small wedding album and she also wants 20 chrissy cards.I also have another friend that usually orders 50 chrissy cards off me,and there seems to be a run of birthdays at the moment for my husbands work collegues,my family and my girls friends. With all this,it is also a struggle to get all the household things done, spend time with the girls and also blogging.......but I am not going to stress....lol.....I am going to just take a breath and keep plodding along. It is the school holidays now,so I am hoping to catch up.This card is one I made for my eldest daughters friend,it is her birthday tomorrow and they just love anything spooky and gothic looking.....lol.....it must be the age.Anyway my daughter chose this awesome Simply Betty image, which was already printed and then I chose this fabulous background scene from Make it Crafty........which by the way is free if you are a member of Crafters Digital Art Center and join the Make it Crafty group.I had to cut the image out as it was already printed,I then popped the image up with foam tape to give it some dimension.Well not much room for embellishing on this one,I didn't realise how big I had made the background until I had printed it.I don't have an air brush,so I have used chalk for the misty effect.Well my daughter is really happy with it,so that makes me happy....lol....and I can move onto the next project.
I am going to enter this card into the following challenges
Make it Crafty - Anything Goes.
The Burtonesque Dolls - Trick or Treating in Burton's Neighbourhood

That's it from me,I better get creating..................I will stop by and see the rest of you this evening. Thanks for stopping by.
