Vintage Santa
Good morning, while I was up I thought I would get this post done as I have another busy day ahead, doing the last of our shopping including the grocery items. This jolly Santa was a free image from Elizabeth O. Dulemba,he was so easy to colour and very quick with my copics.I am only disappointed with one thing though, and that is I only have this cardstock in white and I feel that with the colours I used it needed to be a cream/vanilla colour.I was originally using Stampin'Up cardstock which I have in white and vanilla, but I am having trouble colouring with Stampin'Up! cardstock. The ink seems to dry on top of the cardstock and when you colour over to blend, it starts lifting a little of it off......if that makes any sence. It is perfect for watercolouring and stamping, but I just can't get it to work with copics. Is it just me or do some of you have the same trouble? I have found that Kaszazz cardstock blends beautifully and the ink actually soaks into the cardstock, but I do need to get it in a cream colour so as the white doesn't stick out so much. The music sheet paper is one that I purchased through Bizzy Becs Digi store and it is fantastic,I love the vintage feel to it and even the stains on it look brilliant, the ticket is also available from Bizzy Becs Digi store and I am loving those as well.Enjoy your day.

What a fun card!!! Love the look you've created but know what you mean about white CS sometimes! I have the problem colouring with my touch/copics with SU vanilla but not with the white - so I'm always using white and it doesn't always suit!!!
Thanx for the tip about Kazzazz - might try them out!
Am LOVING Bec's papers too - have heaps printed off and now trying to find time to use them - LOL.
Have a FABULOUS week!
xXx

He's so jolly Cheryl. I just love him to bits. I purchased some cardstock from Bec quite a while ago and (she'll know what it is) and it stands up really well to the copics. I have also purchased some GinaK pure luxury 120lb cardstock and this is amazing. The copics don't bleed through and you can blend perfectly. I purchased this directly from her in the US. Feel free to email me if you can't find her. xo Jackie, ps, your colouring is amazing.

Hi Cheryl, lovely card yet again. Ive paid attention to what you said about the card stock and have to agree the copics love the kaszazz card, i also found the copics are quite good on Watercolour paper (cheap stuff not the good brands you would normally use for your SU markers. I used Hunter studio paper which i believe i got from the $2 shop up here or maybe Kmart? And I'm fairly sure they have it in white and cream. I will look again after xmas, as im not braving kmart prior to xmas!

Gorgeous card Cheryl! I love the music paper too! I sometimes use Tim Holtz antique linen distress ink to give my white card a creamier look, you could try that. Thanks for stopping by my blog; I'd love to find out more about the martini cards - do you have a template for a martini glass?

Cheryl! This is a fun card girlie! Great design papers!
Have you considered distressing the edges with very little ink to give it a cream color? You could just use a tiny bit and you might get the results you are looking for. I actually think it looks just fine as is, but I know how it is when you want it to look just a certain way.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Hugs, Dena

I mostly use natural white classic neenah, it's the perfect cream color and works awesome with copics. Your card is beautiful, I always love music note paper added as a background! And your ornament down below is gorgeous, wow! xx
