For Baby
Good evening all,yep it's been a few days since I have been here.I have decided life is way too short to be spending it all in front of the computer(prior to the last few weeks it was becoming an obsession). So while I will still be crafting and blogging and of course visiting your blogs, it won't be everyday.I have really been enjoying spending time with my family the last few weeks and I don't hear the family saying she is in the craft room again.....lol....There may be days where I do post everyday for a few days and then miss a day or two,it just depends on when I get to craft.I must say though,I feel more at ease with my decision, as I won't feel guilty about not spending any time with my family and I still get to craft and blog,it doesn't get better than that.

Well better get onto the card, one of the ladies at the gym wants a baby card for her daughter(the baby is due in August). Now, they don't know what she is having yet,but I decided to make a boy and girl card so I was in front and of course this is the girl one.I will be making the boy one soon. The baby room is going to have a giraffe theme,so the giraffe was requested and this little cutie came from Meljen's designs. The gorgeous ribbon is wrinkled ribbon,I received today from Sharon at No Time To Stamp. I had just finished putting my card together and you wouldn't believe it the postman turned up and I had to use the ribbon straight away, that is why there is only a bow...lol....My flowers, cuttlebug embossing folder and leaf punch were all purchased at Bizzy Becs.

I am entering this card at Cuttlebug Challenges the theme is For the Kids at Heart and Friday Sketchers for the sketch.Hmmmm a long post from me today,I will try to keep them shorter.........thanks for stopping by.

Ow Cheryl .. I'm reading this and it's like me speaking to myself and like hearing my kids talking saying the same things!!! I try so hard to stay away from blogging and card-making but I haven't managed so far. Well done xxx And by the way, your card is awesome :) I love the pretty pastel colours, it's really beautiful. Gorgeous card, love this little giraffe. It's funny but most of the cards I have commented on today are for babies (no I am not broody, to old for that and too young to be a granny lol). Debs xx

This is a sweet baby card. I love the colors and papers you've used.

I have the same thing here. I have started making sure I spend time with them in the evening and with my kids I involve them in my crafty time. They love it. Even my nieces and nephew like to come play because I let them use my stuff to things for their mom and they want to do more. Yay!!

I know only too well what you meen about obsession by the time I had commented I had no time to craft. I blog because I enjoy it. But I also hate to let friends down who I feel (prob just me) expect a comment or waiting for one lol but I am sure that isn't the case. so I have gone back to crafting and enjoyinjg the sun and charity shops and if I don't post every day well I am sorry but like you say life and family is important and so is craft and our bloggy buddies but we have to deligate time

I love you blog and your giraffe is SO cute! nice to see something different going on with you too maybe the fresh air agreed with you lol and thank you as always for stopping by (when you can)

This is a wonderful card Cheryl. I have made much the same decision Cheryl...to spend a little more time out and about. Now the weather is cooler and drier it is so nice to be out in the garden again. Cardmaking and blogging are so additictive though. :-)

Great decision to spend more time with the family instead of the computer. The computer and blog friends are always there. Family grow sooo quickly. Well done.
Your card is so cute and I love the pastel colours. Can't wait to see the 'boy' one.

First off your card is just darling..Love the layout..And the little image is just to cute..I totally agree life is to short to be on here steady..Since I had my heart attack I've not been able to be on as much as I use to..Before I was stressing about making it to everyones blogs to leave comments. But now I just get to them when I can and hope they understand..I dont think I will ever give up blogging or making cards, But Im not going to stress over it any more.. And I will keep my priorities straight. After all our families and health is the most important thing in life..

Cute card Cheryl. And I'm with you, it does become a bit of an obssession I know, I'm lucky I have no children at home, but it still tands to take over abit, when Rick said about going on a holiday I nearly said no as wanted to spend time in 'my room' but I knew I had to get out. It was a lovely break but as you can see I'm straight back in here lol.

Hi Cheryl,
I agree with your decision,I've found over the past few weeks that sometimes family and friends and even our own needs are greater than the crafting and blogging..I think it really hit me when my cousin died earlier in the year she was only 49 and left 4 children so my priorities changed I try to post and get round everyone's blog as much as I can...By the way this is such a cute adorable card...

Gorgeous card Cheryl, so sweet.
I had to read really quickly and keep leaving your blog and coming back as for some strange reason it kept translating in Africans lol.
Glad you are happy with your decision hun, I cut down on my DT's for that reason and also I was spending so long leaving DT comments I wasn't getting chance to visit the blogs I really enjoy visiting
